 We live in uncertain and troubled times. Our sense of what is normal and dependable has been upended by the Covid-19 pandemic, economic depression, social tensions related to racism, economic disparities, and political factions. Living in exile was a time of disruption and unpredictability for God’s people. Having been uprooted, forced to live outside their comfort zone, and yield to powers and circumstances beyond their control, these stories of faith from the Book of Daniel may help us know how to trust God for our own time. |

Celebrating the Lord's Supper
Sunday, August 2, 2020
 As the first Sunday of the month we invite you to join us in celebrating the Lord’s Supper as part of our online worship. You may do so in one of two ways: (1) Follow the video presentation of the Lord’s Supper as part of our online worship format. (2) Join with others in one of three zoom gatherings (scheduled at 8:30, 9:30, and 11:00 AM) as a pastor directs us to partake of the communion elements in unison.
In preparation you will need to provide the communion elements ahead of time; including: bread (some form of bread or cracker) and juice or wine (or suitable liquid).
For all who choose to participate via zoom, you will be muted automatically at the start and during the communion ceremony. Once the service has ended we will invite those who wish to stay on and greet one another to do so. We will use the same zoom link for all three worship times - join us at your preferred time.

Church Family News
Our love and prayers are with the family of long-time and beloved member Peggy (Dorothy) Blade-Woods, who passed away at the age of 102 on July 25, 2020. After the church reopens, Peggy’s daughter, Melanie Heckel, plans to hold a memorial at the church.
