In July and August, Pastor Neal continues our annual summertime tradition of preaching through the Book of Psalms.  Join us Sunday mornings at 10am as we explore the most ancient worship book of the church.  You can watch the service live on our website, or click the green "FPC Worship Live" button below to be taken to our Facebook livestream.
FPC Worship Live
This Sunday we will observe the sacrament of Holy Communion during our 10am worship service.  For those watching online, we invite you to prepare your own bread (any kind will do) and wine or grape juice.  For those present in the sanctuary, we will provide you upon entry with a sealed, individually-wrapped packet containing a communion wafer and grape juice.
While most of us are understandably concerned about our physical health in the midst of a global pandemic, it's also important to consider how we are caring for our emotional and mental health in the face of uncertainty, social isolation, and increased stress levels.  Please know that Pastor Neal is available to counsel with anyone who needs to talk (or just someone to listen).  Contact the church office at (915) 533-7551 to make an appointment.

Additionally, members of our FPC Medical Advisory Panel have complied the following list of specially trained mental health specialists to support people experiencing anxiety or stress around COVID-19:
  • Emergence Health Network Crisis Counseling Program for COVID 19:  (915) 779-1800
  • Emotional Support Help Line for COVID-19:  (866) 342-6982
  • Texas Health and Human Services has launched a statewide mental health support line to help Texans experiencing anxiety, stress or emotional challenges due to COVID-19. People can call the statewide support line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week toll- free at (833) 986-1919.
In a continued effort to provide safe, meaningful worship experiences for our community, we are adding an early, outdoor contemplative service to our Sunday morning lineup, beginning August 9th.  We will also expand the late service to offer more flexible online options for those who prefer contemporary or traditional music. The new Sunday morning worship schedule will be as follows:

8:00 to 8:45am - Contemplative Worship (Outdoors)
featuring Celtic chant, silent meditation, scripture & sermon, and outdoor childcare

9:45 to 10:00am - Contemporary Worship (Online)
featuring prayer and modern worship songs led by our praise band

10:00 to 10:30am - Timeless Message (Online)
featuring children's message, scripture & sermon

10:30 to 10:45 - Traditional Worship (Online)
featuring classic hymns, liturgies, and El Paso's largest pipe organ

Last Sunday's worship service, and the sermon "A Joyful Noise" by Dr. Craig Field, is available to watch by clicking on the image above.  You can also find recent sermons and worship videos on our church YouTube Channel as well as our Facebook page
Beginning on Sunday, August 9th, the church will offer an outdoor, contemplative worship service from 8:00am to 8:45am.  The service will begin with light instrumental music as people gather in the gardens of the Bell Tower on the West side of the church.   A simple, repetitive, opening chant will be sung, followed by a prayer from the Celtic Psalter, and a five minute silent meditation (seated in place or walking through the gardens and labyrinth).  At this time children will be allowed the opportunity to go with our childcare staff to the church playground for their own developmentally appropriate worship experience.  Pastor Neal will preach a short sermon, followed by the Lord's Prayer, a musical response, announcements and a closing hymn.  The service draws its inspiration from a variety of musical and liturgical traditions, including Celtic Christianity, Taize, Benedictine Monasticism, and global/multicultural spiritualities.  The focus is on quiet reflection, spiritual community, and a deep appreciation of God's Creation.
