Hello, <<First Name>>.

We saved over 100 elephants in South Africa from being shot by hunters! That is a significant victory, and all of us should feel good about it.

While this is a time to celebrate, the battle is not over.

We were set to move them to a safe haven and this required months of diplomatic negotiations because most nations in Africa consider elephants a nuisance.

But Botswana offered a place for them.

Then, after almost two years of hard work, a new leader was elected in Botswana - President Masisi.

That stopped all of our progress. Masisi is even pushing the idea of allowing hunters to kill possibly thousands of elephants to thin Botswana's herd.

Of course, this is madness and we're fighting to stop Masisi's plans. At the same time, we're protecting the100 elephants in South Africa who are presently safe but need a new home.

So if you ever wanted to save the life of an elephant, this is one of the best opportunities you'll ever have.

It is difficult to beleive that President Masisi is willing to brutally kill a baby's mother. But it's true. While we celebrate a victory, let's not forget who we're up against.

How many elephants will Masisi let hunters kill?
