Two new films to watch and share as the Guardians of the Forest campaign for a voice in global climate change negotiations
The first of our new films, Burning the Bananal, explores the issue of wildfires. Wildfires are increasing in their frequency and ferocity worldwide – they consume forests and destroy lives. Is there a more effective way to fight them? Traditional fire management practices hold many answers.
The second film, Regeneration, comes from Co.Reality and is a 360 immersive video with Brazilian indigenous leader Sônia Guajajara. Sônia brings audiences on a journey into her culture and on an expedition into the rainforest to bring illegal loggers to justice. Along the way, we gain deeper insight into the roots of the crisis and see the Guajajara vision for the future.
