Generosity Report

It's the most wonderful time of the year! We here at SARG hope you are able to get some rest and enjoy time with your family. Maybe even see people you have been missing. Our hope this season is that every animal has a human to cuddle up to this Christmas and a warm place to take a nap. I don't usually make a plea this way, but SARG is in need of foster families. If you have ever thought of opening your home temporarily to an animal in need, here is your chance. It is amazingly rewarding to see an animal off to a new adventure and to know you were a part of saving their lives. The only requirement from you is love. SARG pays for all the vet care. I hear so often from people "I could never do that - I don't know how you do it" Truly it is the best thing I have ever done in my life. My heart swells every time a new cat or dog enters my home and successfully finds a forever family to call their own. Over the last 5 years my family has saved over 40 cats and 2 dogs. Animals that would not be here today without our help. Those animals gave me more than I could have possibly given them. I think you would hear the same story from every person that has ever fostered. It's the best!!

SARG had an amazing turn out for our holiday pictures! Thank you all who came and braved the yucky day. We had had such a fun day playing with all the cats and dogs. We can't thank you enough for taking the time out of your Saturday and braving the cold to spend some time with us. We hope everyone enjoys their pictures.

Happy Holiday's to one and all.
All of these donations have come in to SARG by October 31st 2018. Thank you everyone who supports our work. We hope you enjoy reading the stories this month.

Holiday Meal for your Pooch?

The Holidays are upon us and with that lots of yummy foods. I know our pooches would love some yummy treats as well, but it's hard to know just what a dog can have when it comes to human food. What's good for us is not always best for our four legged friends. Pets Web MD has come up with a nice slide show on foods to avoid as well as what's ok. I've provided a link directly to the important information. Please take the time to look it over before the big holiday meal.

News from Adoptors
Stitch has found a warm place by the fire! What a lovely picture. Leach Family, thank you so much for sharing.
Heather Light is thinking this tree looks like fun! Maybe they will put dangly things on it that I can bat at?!
Adoptable of the Month
Amber
Amber (age 8) only wants one thing in life: a person of her own. When Amber was abandoned in an empty apartment, SARG stepped in. She's been in a foster home since then. The foster mom loves this little girl, but Amber wants and needs a person of her own. In her foster situation, she has to share a person with several other kitties. Amber wants her own place, her own person. She could share with one (maybe two). If one calls her to come for attention, she comes on the run, burbling her excitement (and occasionally drooling...just a little bit!). She talks as long as she's being petted, turning and rubbing against her person. And when no other cats come around, she'll settle down, cuddling close to her human friend to sleep. But when another kitty arrives, that's Amber's signal to walk away. Amber is able to live with other cats, and she lived with a dog before she was rescued, but she needs a loving person of her own. Do you or someone you know have the lap for Amber?
Ways to help SARG

Do you shop at Kroger? Link your card to SARG and we will get a donation every time you shop! SARG has 60 families (up from 53 -Thank you those that signed up!) that are signed up to donate through Kroger. On a quarterly basis SARG gets a check for about $350 dollars! Just think how much more we could get if 75 families were signed up! The program doesn't take away from your fuel points; it's only just an added bonus Kroger gives to SARG.
