Greetings from the Director
|
|
|
Here we are at the end of 2018! The year has flown by. We at the Library and Learning Resources would like to thank our students, staff, county residents and visitors for a productive year.
During this past year, the LLR has witnessed some significant happenings. Here are a few:
- Volume 3 of Bookends in the Spring and Volume 4 this fall
- Official introduction of the newly structured Library and Learning Resources Division
- Hiring and onboarding of new faculty and staff members (who will be featured in upcoming "Getting to Know You" segments)
- New workshops such as Understanding Wikipedia, Flash Fiction, Resumes and Social Media, and Mindful Mondays
- Plus some of our favorite events: Edible Books, Movie Screenings, and De-Stress Yourself
Next year will bring even more opportunities for outreach and engagement with the college and the broader community. We hope to reach you then!
Have a wonderful Winter Break! Enjoy!

Jingle Bells! Library staff celebrate.

Enjoy these festive holidays photos from the Library and Learning Resources faculty and staff.
The Digital Archive Collection, currently under construction, is housed and managed by the Library. Once it’s up and running, use the Archives to:
- Conduct research for assignment, papers, and projects
- Learn more about the history of the college.
- Learn more about individuals associated with the college
The best part about the Digital Archive Collection is that you can participate!

What are your plans for
the holiday break?
|
|
|
Last month's Thanksgiving feature was so fun, we thought we'd ask a similar question for our final issue this semester. With the winter break just around the corner, we wanted to know what members of the LLR planned to do during the Winter Break. Though the most popular answers were rest, here are a few more answers.
Sleep and doctors' appointments! ~John Bartles, Librarian/Library
Travel, read, bake, and take thousands of pictures of my cat and dog.~Julie Seigel,Outreach Librarian/Library
Resting, reading, binge-watching in my fuzzy pajamas and socks. ~Candice Floyd, Circulation Services/Library
I love the Holidays and therefore will be enjoying decorations and visits from friends and family. Catching up on reading and a few hobbies. I also plan on a quick trip to NYC for the Cher show. Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday Season! ~Caroline Lopez, Coordinator of Circulation Services/Library
