Our Nativity Sheep Trail

As many of you know, several people over the autumn have been knitting sheep for our Messy Church Nativity Sheep Trail. One of the Hamilton shepherds wants to go and see baby Jesus, but he can’t find all his sheep! He knows that he went into these shops in Hamilton—will you help him find his missing sheep?
Why not have some fun with your children or grandchildren finding our Nativity sheep in the shops listed here. Download and print the form.  (You will need a Pdf reader on your mobile or laptop) You can enter the Prize Draw and come along to Messy Church on Christmas Eve at 4pm to enjoy more activities about the Christmas story and find out who was the best Shepherd!

Informal Carols and Readings

This Saturday 15th December, at 3.30 pm David Hamilton presents the annual informal carols with St. Mary's Choir. Kirsteen Hamilton has arranged some special prose and poetry eadings and we begin the afternoon at 3pm with Christmas refreshments. Come along, all welcome, especially friends. Donations can be offered for our Christmas collection for the homeless charity Bethany Trust.

Circle Family Support collection for Christmas Gifts. This Sunday 16th Dec

Everyone is asked to donate, if possible a Christmas gift for the Circle children. Circle is our partner charity and supports families affected by imprisonment as well as those affected by domestic abuse. Georgina and her team are asking for gifts suitable for children from babies to older teenagers, male or female.
Please do not wrap the gifts but offers of wrapping paper are also very welcome. Please offer them this Sunday or during the week until Tuesday 18th.

Christmas Tree

This year's Christmas Tree is to be a living tree. The Vestry have decided that we shall have a small cut tree in the Church but our main tree will be the beautiful fir tree at the entrance to the church. Large trees about 12ft are now being protected and we feel that our Christian faith should respect the living world. We will be thinking more about this in the coming year about how we can assist a better caring of our environment. The money normally used to purchase a large tree will be given to our Christmas appeal for the Bethany Trust.
