2018 wasn't the best year I've had and I'm looking forward to a better one in 2019.

Happy Christmas From Lyttleton

It's around this time of year that I take stock of the year that has passed and think about the year ahead. 2018 was a good year work-wise as I put out two new books (FAB Club 2: Friends Against Cyberbullying and the Spanish translation of A Basque Diary) and produced a lots of cartoons that will be part of books about New Zealand and reasons to be cheerful. But going away for 11 weeks wasn't ideal, partly because I was away when our dear dog died, and partly because I've been playing catch up ever since. I haven't had the time to get things done that I wanted to get done, especially in our very overgrown garden.

I have been happy to reconnect with friends and family in Europe and to see more of my friends here in New Zealand, as well as make some new ones. I've also been touched by the feedback I've had from this newsletter as it is a way for me to share my work that doesn't involve Facebook or Google or any of the big tech companies (unless you go to Amazon to buy my books of course!).

Thank you for keeping on reading – your support means the world to me.

Happy holidays to you and yours

PS. And if you are looking for last minute gifts on Amazon, my author page and links to my books is here:
