The Billings Gazette reports Air Force is restructuring its AD position under the Air Force Athletic Association Corp. and out of the government's control. The move will allow the Academy to offer a more competitive compensation package and the new AD to be "directly involved in fundraising as a representative of the 501(C)(3) corporation, a role that wasn’t allowed previously." A spokesman for Air Force also noted that a new AD could be announced by the end of the year. More in D1.ticker tomorrow morning. (link)
