Sisters of the Cloth,
I am looking forward to some social time on Dec. 17 with you all. Good food and sewing buddies. Does it get any better than that? Any show and share completed that we will get to see before it's wrapped up and put under the tree?
See you Dec. 17 and remember we start early.

December Potluck
We will provide the punch. Please bring a contribution for the potluck table – you choose – a main course, salad, appetizer or dessert item. Bring along a place setting for yourself: dinner plate, a mug or cup for punch, cutlery and don’t forget a plate for dessert because I’m sure there will be a few!
Allergy Alert! Please NO shellfish! One of our members is highly allergic, so we ask that your contribution does not include, crab, shrimp, lobster etc..
December Program
Thank you Janice!
As many of you know, Janice Kavanaugh has been our contact at Hope Church since the guild moved to this location. Well, Janice is retiring at the end of the year, and we want to thank her from the bottom of our hearts for all that she has done to support the guild and our activities. Janice will be joining us for the potluck dinner,and we will extend our thanks as part of the program.
Please help us say thanks. We hear she`s recently been bitten by the quilting bug, so we want to help get her started. Please bring one favourite fat quarter to add to her gift. You can drop it off at the draw table when you come in for the December meeting.
Hospice Quilt Reveal
Our outreach team has been dedicating their work over many months to making quilts for the new hospice in Port Perry. And we get to see the results of their work!
Quilt Show 2020 Steering Committee Update
Thank you to all of our members who have volunteered to organize our guild show to be held May 8 & 9, 2020. We have a great team of leaders for each of the major task areas, but there is always room at the table for both fresh ideas and the voice of experience. January - Playing with Rulers – Quilting on your Domestic Machines
A fun hands on meeting, beginning with demonstrations by Carolyn Birnie, our guest from the Markham Guild. A chance to try out those Westlee Rulers and the new rulers from Angela Walters by Creative Grids. If you have rulers, and want to bring your machine along to play please do so. Break those rulers out of the plastic and go for it !! If you don’t have rulers, but want to bring a machine and try some of those available for playing, just remember you need to borrow or buy a suitable ruler foot.
Sew Have Fun, one of our long time sponsors, will be joining in the fun, and will be vending the products as well, so a great chance to get up close with a new tool. www.sewhavefun.ca
