BUSY, BUSY BETHLEHEM
EYFS and KS1 transported Avonmore to a very busy Bethlehem with their lively retelling of the Nativity story on Thursday.  A huge thank you to all the children and adults who helped make this such a wonderful performance.

In assembly this week, we looked at how much waste there is at Christmas time. We have been working hard, with advice from Eco-council, to reduce our waste this year so far. With this in mind, if children would like to exchange cards we are asking that each child only brings one card addressed to the whole class rather than one for each of their friends as this will help us to meet our target. Click here for Newsround's tips for a greener Christmas.

This week in Year 4 we have started working on our new DT unit - designing and evaluating our own Christmas cards!
