Dear Parents,

Christmas is well under way and we are getting ready for our Nativity and Carols on the Playground events. The children are working hard on their candles for the celebration and It would be lovely to see as many of you there as possible. We will be starting at 3pm on the playground, so please make your way up there to join in and then collect your child at the end. There will be mince pies and fun!

Tiddlers Nursery are holding their Christmas Market on Saturday! Please come along to the Village Hall from 2pm to have a look, maybe get a few presents and support the setting! Anna, Debbie and the team would love to see you there!

We are delighted that so many people wanted to access the Club provision by Devonshire Academy. Please see the notes below for more information. They are willing to come up to CM so a few more children to build the club would be great.

There are a range of extra opportunities available at present, from Arctic Survival days to the London Residential. I will soon be setting out our vision for the curriculum experience on offer at CMPS but in the interim please have a read of the post '
Why pay voluntary contributions'. We simply cannot afford to give the children these experiential experiences without your support. Please think carefully about your decision to support the children's learning. Our procedure at present is that we will review the financial implications to school one week before the trip or visit and take the decision whether it will go ahead or not. We are very aware of the constraints on parents at present and I express to the teachers the need to plan in advance.

Can I finally thank all involved in our community performances lately! The children were great at the market and were a credit to the community. There is a lot of hard work that goes into them and that should not go unrecognised.

We all hope you have a great weekend and hope to see you at the Christmas Fair.
Click here to see our clubs. We have new clubs on offer including a Karate Club Run by 3rd Dan Will Homer. Please have a look and see what appeals!

#hotchocfriday

This week’s hot choc was enjoyed by the pictured children. Again, it’s a pleasure to spend a few minutes with the children who are recognised as ‘fantastic’ all of the time. Well done children. We had a great chat and they decided on next week’s theme for assembly.

The children and parents from Tiddlers, reception and key stage 1 have been bringing in items for our shoe box appeal to help homeless people this Christmas. This has helped the children learn that Christmas is also about helping others and giving what we can to help. Thank you for all the donations. We have about 20 boxes plus other items to donate! Amazing job!
On Friday the 14th Tiddlers will be having a film and pizza night from 5-7. The children can come in their pyjamas and we will have a lot of Christmassy fun. This is for our Tiddlers from 2 years plus and also reception class. There is a cost of £5 per child. Please speak to Tiddlers staff or Mrs. Edwards if your child would like to join us.
Next week there is a Christmas market at school for your child to buy presents. Information about this will be sent home with your child.
Next Wednesday afternoon we are joining key stage 1 at school for the Christmas play. Tiddlers will be singing a song with reception. Tickets are available from Debbie. The children will be dressing as sheep (black trousers and white top).
It’s a very busy time of year! As always, Tiddlers staff are happy to answer any questions or queries. Thank you for your ongoing support. From the Tiddlers team.
