Road Focus: My joint road safety campaign with Worcestershire County Council, launched successfully with over 200 face-to-face interactions across five days. Mini ‘police officers’ were placed outside schools to prevent passing motorists from speeding or parking on the zig-zags, drop in sessions were held across Worcestershire and there was an excellent turn out for a road safety awareness session in Redditch. Improving road safety remains a priority of mine and I look forward to continuing to work with partners as the campaign continues,

Community Ambassadors and Rural and Business Officers...
This month the Community Ambassadors: honoured those who sacrificed their lives at Remembrance Services across the area; supported rural crime prevention events; attended Neighbourhood Watch events; attended meetings that look at how the impact on policing within the night time economy can be reduced during the festive period; supported youth engagement; met with partners to discuss reducing crime around shop lifting through ShopWatch; and supported their local safer neighbourhood teams.
The Rural and Business Officers met with Callows Oil to discuss a joint approach to prevent the theft of heating oil, supported the National Rural Crime Day of Action, and launched a new rural watch scheme throughout Worcestershire.
