Tackling Indigenous Smoking

Earlier this year, the Hon. Ken Wyatt MP, Federal Minister for Indigenous Health, announced that the Australian Government will provide a further $183.7 million to Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) over four years (2018–2022).

Strengthening aged care

Ninti One has commenced a new project in the aged care sector, supporting Norfolk Island’s only aged care service provider Care Norfolk to build their capacity to meet the growing needs of the Island’s ageing population.

Stronger communities

The stakeholders of the Stronger Communities for Children (SCfC) program met again in late September 2018 at the Knowledge Sharing Seminar held in Darwin. The seminar opened with a Welcome to Country from traditional owner Donna Jackson, on behalf of Larrakia Nation.

Outback Alliance

On 26 November, Anthony Rologas, Senior Project Manager, attended the launch of a new alliance of non-government organisations and individuals working for better delivery and outcomes in remote Australia. The Outback Alliance launch event was held at Parliament House and was attended by over 50 Members of Parliament and staffers, from all sides of politics.
