A photo from our lovely Chanukah party on Sunday. It was great to celebrate with the community!

Upcoming Events At A Glance...

Adult Ed Get Together

An open gathering for folks who are interested in learning more traditional Jewish topics. The main goal of the evening will be to learn a bit together and then see what learning we can set up going forward. We are blessed with individuals at differing levels of Jewish and Hebrew learning so it is possible that we can meet many different learning interests. We'll end the gathering with hadlakat nerot/Hanukkah candle lighting, at around 7:30. Light refreshments.

If you cannot make it, please write to Rabbi Andrea: rabbi@templeisraelgreenfield.org, about what you might be interested in and what times work better for you. And if you cannot make it but are interested in teaching, please let Rabbi Andrea know of your interests and offerings. She will collate that and bring your info to the other learners.

Shabbat Shalom

We will have Shabbat Morning services this Saturday, December 15, at 10 AM. Rabbi Andrea will lead a meditative chanting service - the perfect antidote for a busy, information filled work week.
Childcare provided.
Service followed by kiddush and conversations.

Readers Theater

This Saturday, December 15, at 7 PM, you are invited to Temple Israel's play-reading of 25 QUESTIONS FOR A JEWISH MOTHER. by Kate Moira Ryan and Judy Gold. Temple Israel has more than twenty people stepping up to be pioneers in our first READERS THEATER event. We will offer nosh and play discussion after the one-hour reading.

There is both comedic and poignant content--a little stereotype; a little history; a few flashbacks to Jewish thinking of past generations. Arrive with time to park, remove coats, and silence phones. Doors open 6:30 p.m. Our READERS THEATER presentation begins at 7:00 p.m.

Psalms Reading Group

Ruth Witty would like to start a group to get together to read psalms aloud. Psalms can be a powerful help in times of trouble. Would meet bimonthly at Ruth's house in Greenfield, possibly Saturday afternoons.
