We are so happy and excited to celebrate our 15th anniversary.
About Your Health was started all those years ago by our smart, fun loving, microscope toting, fearless leader, Lois Bradley.
When About Your Health first opened, Lois would take her microscope to places like gyms, prisons and libraries and do the live/dry blood cell analysis for anyone interested. They got to experience what she was offering and learn something new and helpful about their health.
15 years later, About Your Health has grown to not only offer live/dry blood cell analysis, but also Nutritional Counseling, Thermography, Far Infrared Sauna, Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, GAPs (Gut & Psychology Syndrome Diet) consultations, Aqua-Chi foot baths, cold light laser and Reams testing.
We are also lucky enough to have several other fantastic practitioners renting space from us who offer Colonics, Myofascial Release, Energy work, Homeopathy and Massage.
Lois' mission was (and still is) to educate everyone, and anyone, interested in how the body works and the basic, natural things that can be done for true health while also providing services to help individuals improve or maintain their own health.
And we are so thankful for all of you. Without you About Your Health would not be here. We thank you deeply for trusting us and supporting us all these years and making this anniversary possible.

Bitters
"Modern research, through the work of Catia Sternini (professor of medicine at UCLA) and others, 3has characterized just how deeply linked to the bitter taste humans really are. Cells all along our digestive tract, from the tongue to the colon, are tuned to bitter-tasting molecules (such as lactones and iridoids) from the plant world.
Most researchers agree that these bitter taste receptors (known as T2Rs) are a way for us to detect poison and to activate strategies of detoxification and protection."
"Consuming herbal bitters makes us feel full more quickly, reduces overeating and counteracts insulin resistance."
"This is precisely what a new clinical trial by a group of physicians in Naples, Italy has documented.6Participants consumed 20 percent fewer calories at an all-you-can-eat meal when they had been exposed to a strong bitter taste before eating.6 Beyond our historical linkage to bitter plants, we may in fact need them to function properly, eat in a balanced way and metabolize our food effectively."
