Update from Chinook Winds Regional Commission
By Helen Reed, Chair

Together we are stronger…

The Chinook Winds Regional Commission met on November 29-30 and again on December 11.  We believe that we have made some decisions that will help our Region move forward into 2019 with boldness and excitement as well as good support for the work ahead. We continue to listen to your feedback and weigh each opinion with the good of our whole region in mind.
The report of our November 29-30 meeting was previously distributed through Presbytery Secretaries. However, you can also read this report HERE.

Chinook Winds Regional Commission: Helen Reed, Chair; Tammy Allan; Kathy Yamashita; Sue Brodrick; Bob Wallace; Ray Goodship; Mauricio Araujo, Executive Assistant and Doug Goodwin, Executive Minister. Missing: Russel Burns and Daryl Beaver.

Regional Office to be located in Okotoks
Regional Office:
We are pleased to announce that the Regional Office for Chinook Winds will be located in the Okotoks United Church. This site is easily accessible and offers us many opportunities for large and small gatherings.
It is a comfortable space which reflects the welcome that we are striving to offer. Effective January 1, 2019, Chinook Winds Regional Office's address will be 43 Riverside Drive, Okotoks, AB T1S 1A7.
Communications Update

Chinook Winds Newsletter:
This e-newsletter is being sent to Ministry Personnel, Volunteers and Communities of Faith in the Chinook Winds Region. If you're in the Directory of the former Conference, you should be getting this email.
However, we are using a Gmail address during this interim time and that may cause this email to end up in spam files or be blocked by servers. We will have an official Chinook Winds email address to send you communications in a short while. An address linked to a domain name will better help us get communication beyond spam blockers and into your inbox.
In the meantime, if you hear of someone who didn't receive this e-newsletter, please feel free to forward it to them. They can also sign up for Chinook Winds
e-newsletters HERE

Website:

Chinook Winds Region will have its own website in the coming months. In the meantime, news posts will continue to be posted on the ANW Conference website.

Online Directory:

Need to access a pertinent email address or telephone number?  Through the transition, you can access the former Conference Online Directory. Outwardly, it still looks like the old directory. But in the back end, it's already made several transitions into the new system. More changes to come. The former Conference Online directory has been divided into the relevant Regions. But until the directory has a new website home, you can access the directory on the ANW Conference website. New staff and contact information will be added as we are able. We thank you for your patience.

PIE = Public. Intentional. Explicit.

Those are the standards we hold ourselves and our welcome to when we become Affirming, Welcoming, or Inclusive communities.

We invite you to serve up some pie and roll out the PIE in your ministries and communities! This is your chance to celebrate and honour the full inclusion of *LGBTQ2SIA+ people in faith communities and beyond, with everyone across Canada! Read MORE
