Winter 2019 Newsletter

Let me first wish you and your family an early happy holidays!  May 2019 bring you and your family love, laughter and hopefully opportunities on the dance floor!

Every time I write one of these newsletters I always reflect on what's happened and then what's to come.  Earlier this year marked my fifth year of business and I'd like to thank all those who have supported my small business.  The best part of the business is meeting and working with a diverse group of people.  On meeting new people, 2018 has been an interesting year of new opportunities for me - attending the April Follies competition (in Oakland, California), becoming a board member for the North American Same Sex Partner Dance Association (NASSPDA),  and competing for the first time in a same-sex competition (Gay Games in Paris).  2019 will be starting off just as interesting!  I will be entering in the Floorplay in the Dessert competition in Palm Springs, California in January which has been designated as the North American championships by NASSPDA!  I'll be competing in the men's standard division with an experienced fellow from San Francisco and in the Latin division with a lady from Winnipeg (we are dancing reverse role - guy follows and lady leads!).  It's been almost 13 years since I last competed in Latin so I've "had to" pick up a new latin outfit (my rubber arm bent!) - I'll share the pictures and/or videos on the Facebook page when available.  I expect that I'll be out in April Follies again in April, so if anyone wants a challenge and is thinking about competing, that's a nice and friendly competition to check out - and it'll give you an excuse to visit San Francisco!.

Hope to see you in the new year!

All the best,
Horace

Private Lessons Waiting List
My private lessons schedule is almost completely booked up into March at this point.  However at times there are unexpected issues that arise and a student may have to cancel a night or two before which typically leaves a void in my schedule.  If you'd like to be notified of private lesson availabilities please subscribe to my waiting list.  I will give a $10 discount on the hourly rate to those who can fill the void.
