Dear friends,

As 2018 came to an end I could not help but be amazed as I considered the Lord’s faithfulness and provision for us.

Through you, our supporters, friends, encouragers, and prayer warriors, he provided for us to continue living in Missouri, and train to bring the gospel to those who have never heard it. He provided for us to take a huge road trip that brought us to Tennessee, Nebraska, Idaho, Washington, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba to visit family and friends. He provided the most amazing friendships and deepening relationships for us in the staff and students here at the training center. As I look back, I am blown away by his love for us in 2018. He truly provided “far more abundantly than all we can ask or think” (Eph 3:20 ESV).

Thank you for being a part of all that He has done in our lives up to this point. We are so thankful to be a part of the Body of Christ and to be experiencing each member playing its part. So whether you encouraged us, supported us, or prayed for us, thank you for partnering with us. You are playing a vital part in what God is doing around the world today.

Looking Forward with Anticipation

What will 2019 hold? There are many things that we are looking forward to and we realize that only the Lord really knows what is in store. But, as we look to Him, here are a few things that are coming up:
-      Our final semester of training!
-      Graduation on March 30th!
-      Membership Interview to be accepted as Members of Ethnos360
-      Starting a Linguistics course that is offered here at the training center
o  We are going to learn about how languages work. This will be a huge help to us as we seek to learn a language and possibly create an alphabet in the future.
-      Linguistics ends in December of 2019
-      Move back to Tennessee December of 2019
2020 will then be a time of partnering with churches and individuals.
2021 will, Lord-willing see us departing for Papua New Guinea that January!
As you can imagine, we are very excited to see what God will do this year!

We wanted to share with you one amazing story of how God has already shown himself to be our gracious provider in 2019:
Our car has been racking up many miles and as we look forward to driving many many more miles in the next couple years, we began praying a few months ago about what the Lord would have us do. Recently, the Lord gave us peace about looking for a different vehicle, one that would be a little larger considering all the time we are going to be spending travelling in it.
Thus began the hunt. Andrew scoured the used car market and on January 8th God did exactly and so much more than we had been asking. I had prayed, “Lord, I pray that if this is what you have for us that you would basically just plop a car in our lap. Make it incredibly obvious.” That day we drove 3 hours to St. Louis to see a vehicle, unsure of what condition it was going to be in.
Folks, we came home with a reliable vehicle that was within our price range, had low miles, that had been impeccably maintained and was worth at least double of what we paid for it. This vehicle was so clearly and obviously provided by the Lord and we are so excited about using it to serve Him!
We are going into 2019 amazed by the Lord and excited to be serving Him with you, His people.

With much love,

Andrew and Rachel Trott
