New homepage

Finally we managed to relaunch a new homepage giving us further possibilities than our old. Expect new stuff throughout the next months. There is a lot waiting for translation and we hope to be able to feed you with advanced manuals, how-tos and other goodies on our new homepage.

bcAdmin 4

It has been a long time since we started working on bcAdmin 4. The goal was to create an even better user experience, faster working environment and overall better bcAdmin. For this we rewrote bcAdmin from its core. First users are now working since 3 months with prerelease versions. We must say, the feedback is magnificent. It seems we managed to get some things right and better.

With bcAdmin 4 we will change our licensing a tiny bit. bcAdmin 3 is now available for nearly 6 years, a rather long time span and with all the free updates (more than 50!) not self sustaining. What will change with bcAdmin 4? We will sell upgrades on a yearly base. With 175€ yearly fee you can get updates. As soon as you stop paying, the software will continue to work, but updates won't be possible. We consider that a fair deal.

Mast microphone

With modern wind turbines having diameters of more than 120m a second microphone in the area of the lower blade tip often is a requirement when monitoring bat activity at wind turbines. In spring 2018 we published a new hardware for a some selected customers, that allows to monitor exactly there. The so-called mast microphone, compatible with the GSM-batcorder is now available freely. It needs a hole to be drilled through the turbine mast (which is no problem!) and allows to detect bats outside while the detector is located inside. Learn more on our homepage. Remote data download from wind turbines using Bat Link

A new tool that was developed for the GSM-batcorder allows to remotely download data from wind turbines. Welcome the new Bat Link by ABO Wind. 

The Bat Link full package also includes installation and maintenance by the experienced engineers of ABO Wind.
