Special Thank you to our Holiday Home Tour Team from Mrs. See!
Our PHCS Community is blessed to have such creative people as the Bolt Family and the Seidlers (alumni), artfully decorating local homes for Christmas.  While parents volunteer to cover shifts and often help with odd jobs to assist, it really is the creative genius of these individuals to create such lovely and coordinated homes for our tour.  Thank you, Dennis & JoVonne, Rachel and Kirk, and of course Donna & Fred Cochran...the inventors of Holiday Home Tour.  It is clear they love our school and contribute for the blessing of families who need financial provision to cover whole-hearted Christian education in Sebastopol!  We honor you!

Christmas Program Dec. 18
Beautiful singing can be heard from the Assembly Room each Wednesday afternoon because we are already preparing for our Christmas Program on December 18th at Bayside Santa Rosa (formerly known as Redwood Covenant Church).  Please mark your calendars.  The program starts at 6:30 and usually is about an hour in total.  Parents will need to have their student at the church at 6pm that evening.  Can't wait to celebrate Christmas with you!

Special Persons Day
Last Friday we welcomed very special people to our campus for Special Persons' Day!  The sun was shining brightly after a day of rain and smiles were big when students and special friends spotted one another during the assembly.  After performing some songs and some class presentations, students welcomed their special people back to their classrooms for some lunch (which students lovingly provided) and a tour of their classrooms.  Recess was a big hit after dessert and we had some rousing games of four square, "grounder" tag and jump rope!  Thank you, Special Friends, for coming and sharing the school day with us.  "Some people come into our lives, leave a footprint on our heart, and we are never the same again."

Chapel with the Sebastopol Senior Singers
On Wednesday we had the honor of singing with and listening to Christmas songs from the Sebastopol Senior Singers.  We "rocked around the Christmas tree" and also sang "Silent Night" together.  It was a beautiful time of generational celebration!  Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Clark, for helping to coordinate the date!

Tree Hunting with 6th Grade
This past Monday, as is tradition, 6th graders piled into Mrs. See's van to go get the school's Christmas tree.  Surprised to find it closed for the day, Buddy's Christmas Tree Farm opened its doors to us so we could hunt down the perfect tree.  Everyone took turns sawing, and carried the pretty Douglas fir to Mr. Norm's truck, who was generous enough to drive it back for us.  The kids didn't miss out on Grandma Buddy's Cocoa either as they offered us cocoa in the barn after our hard work!  A fun time was had by all!  Thank you to Major Alarm Inc,, who donated money for the Christmas tree purchase!  We are so grateful for these types of fun traditions at PHCS!

Dads in Prayer
The Bible says, "Where two or more are gathered, there I am in the midst of them."  We had a grandpa join Pastor Hahn this month for Dads in Prayer on Wednesday and we were sooo very grateful for the time they spent in praying for specific needs of the school.  Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer!
