- Holiday Schedule: We're closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
- Stair Repairs: Thanks to your generosity, we've replaced the Mustard Seed doors and repaired the octagonal chapel windows. The next project is to replace the back stairs, which will cost a few thousand dollars. (These are not the kitchen stairs, but the stairs behind the building, which serve as a fire escape.) Contributions to this project can be mailed to The Mustard Seed, PO Box 2592, Worcester MA 01613. Online donations can be made via PayPal. And of course non-earmarked donations are always helpful.
- Discussion Meetings: One of the traditions of the Catholic Worker movement is discussions for the "clarification of thought." We're starting a new series of these meetings the second Monday of each month at 7pm. The first meeting, on the legacy of the late Father Thomas Keating, will be January 7.
- Mass times: Holy Mass will be celebrated in the chapel upstairs at the Mustard Seed on December 7, January 25, and February 22 at 7pm. Please join us as the Spirit moves!
- Monday and Friday prayer: Every Monday, and every Friday when no mass is scheduled, we pray vespers together at the Mustard Seed at 6:30pm, right after cleaning up for the night. All are invited to join us.
- Afternoon volunteers wanted: We have been providing various low-key activities for our guests from 3:30-5:30 each day. We are looking for more volunteers to sustain this. For more information, call Mike at 508-499-9638.
- Solar Panels: There are now solar panels on the Mustard Seed! We invite you to a little get-together to celebrate this Wednesday, December 12, 2:30pm at the Mustard Seed.
So far this winter has been a great time at the Mustard Seed, with hundreds of volunteers serving hundreds of guests and some remarkable human connections being made. Thank you for your service and fellowship.
