Year in Review
2018 was an exciting year for CDTR - Thank you to all of our center leadership, partner institutions, and members for helping us advance the field of diabetes translational research. Happy Holidays!
"Moving Research to Publication" event facilitates publications and collaboration amongst investigators
This year, our largest event was "Moving Research to Publication: Health Equity in Diabetes and Obesity Prevention." We partnered with the Institute for Public Health to host 30 investigators for the collaborative event, “Moving Research to Publication: Health Equity in Diabetes and Obesity Prevention and Treatment.”
All CDTR partner institutions were represented, with participants
CDTR funded four pilot and feasibility projects this year. Several of our members also received funding from a variety of sources including NIDDK, NHLBI, NHICD, and Washington University ICTS. Congratulations, investigators!
Researchers from our partner institutions held seven webinars throughout the year. Topics included D&I research in AI/AN communities, weight control in Black Men, and translating diabetes research to diabetes education for patients and providers.
Members disseminated their research on a variety of topics including peer support interventions, physical activity in adolescent girls, dissemination and implementation research, and diabetes mobile applications.
Publications supported by CDTR should include this statement when submitted for publication: This publication was made possible by Grant Number P30DK092950 from the NIDDK."
