NEW RESOURCES - SDI is delighted to announce two new resources for our worldwide spiritual companionship community -- "A Portrait of a Spiritual Director" and "5 Principles for Spiritual Direction Training Programs." These documents are the result of months of consultation, discernment and dialogue with members of our community and a great deal of work by an SDI taskforce led by Lucy Abbott Tucker and Christine Luna Munger. Designed as guidelines, these resources are living documents. If you care at all about spiritual companionship, we encourage you to read them and tell us what you think. Each document will evolve in the years to come. Your ideas and insights will help shape that evolution.
WATCH NOW - CONTEMPLATION AS AN ANTIDOTE TO HATE - Rabbi Amy Eilberg will be a speaker at SDI's conference Seeking Connection - Across Generations, March 14-17, 2019 in Bellevue, Washington, USA. She is the first woman ordained as a Conservative rabbi by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. A long-time spiritual director, she is very active working for justice and peace. In this video, she talks about how contemplative practice can help us avoid burnout and turn away from hate, even in contentious times.
