Dicamba Information for 2019

Updated information can be found on the NDA Dicamba Information for 2019 page. Stay tuned for more information on required training for 2019.
A new NDA FieldWatch page has been developed containing direct links for applicators to register for the FieldCheck app and access the DriftWatch/BeeCheck map. Information and links are also available for commercial specialty crop growers and beekeepers.

Emerald Ash Borer Update

In August, NDA, in partnership with USDA, confirmed the presence of emerald ash borer (EAB) in a Lincoln trap. As a result, NDA recently added Otoe, Lancaster, and Saunders Counties to the existing quarantine on ash products. More on the quarantine is found in the press release.
The Nebraska Forest Service has great EAB information for property owners, community planners, and tree care/green industry professionals, including how to prevent the spread of EAB, deciding if trees should be treated, and if so, treatment options available.

Other Pesticide Resources

Concentrations of “legacy” pesticides have been trending downward in fish tissue in the recent past, below levels of concern, so they are no longer analyzed. However, mercury and PCBs remain a concern in certain areas of the state. See the Fish Consumption Advisory listing, the Eat Safe Fish Brochure, and the most recent fish tissue assessment report.
