John Hunter with teachers at the World Peace Game.

The World Peace Game Foundation is closing out a wonderfully productive 2018, making significant progress on our mission to Teach Children the Work of Peace

We stand in awe of the amazing community of teachers whom we have had honor to work with during the Master Classes with John Hunter in 2018. Close to 100 dedicated educators from across the US, Canada, Austria, Australia, and Britian invested significant time, financial resources, and energy to learn about the principles and practice of the Game. They also reexamined their own teaching practice, leaving the master classes recommitted to their profession. We are especially proud of the public school districts that now have multiple teachers trained as WPG Facilitators: Albemarle, Virginia: Corvallis, Oregon: McKinney, Texas, and East Montpelier, Vermont.

Our WPG Facilitators from 35+ countries continue to embrace the WPG as a teaching tool in their classrooms. From Austria to Singapore, from Florida to California, children are practicing problem solving and challenging themselves to solve crises while concurrently gaining the critical thinking skills and collaboration that we know are essential in the 21st Century.

Much like the Game, we know we achieve more when we work together. Our host schools in 2018— Miami Country Day School,  Albemarle County Public Schools, The Hudson School, Washington Central Supervisory Union, and Corvallis Public Schools— partnered with us to make the World Peace Game Camps and Master Classes successful. Our Board of Directors continues to strategically support and guide our direction. Funders and individual donors made it possible for The Foundation to offer scholarship assistance to teachers and children, ensuring that cost does not prohibit participation in our Camps and Master Classes. Children playing the WPG inspire us each and every time we play the Game. The future looks bright from a classroom of WPG players!

2019 promises to bring new opportunities and directions for The Foundation.

Please consider a tax-deductible donation to the Foundation so that together, we can continue reaching more children and educators: worldpeacegame.org/donate

With best wishes for a happy holiday and peaceful 2019,
