Dilettante
'Dilettante' are hitting the road in January to celebrate the release of their debut single "John" and are popping into our little attic. Dilettante is an art-rock collective led by multi-instrumentalist Francesca Pidgeon and is based in Northern England. The group was born out of a fear of committing to a single lineup, and is Francesca Pidgeon’s rebound project after a long-term relationship with indie-jazz four-piece ‘Kumiko’.
Expect woodwind and angst.
FFO: St Vincent, Fiona Apple, tUnE-yArDs, Billie Holiday, Andy Shauf, Grizzly Bear, and Radiohead.

Nel Unlit
One of our own, Spookers, Nel Unlit were born out of the Spooker Rekkids attic in the old ladies room of the Westgarth Social Club in Middlesbrough. They have written a folk-opera, “Wake for the Dreaming” based on the graphic novel "World's End" by Neil Gaiman from his epic “Sandman” series. It is a celebration of storytelling and it’s power to soothe and inspire in times of crisis.
They released single, Fireflies in October 2018 and follow it up with B-side, Wings, a tribute to a local legend, the Teesside Troubadour, Vin Garbutt.

It's been a really great year and we've absolutely loved every single show. So, enormous, huge, massive (and other words for big) thanks to all of you for supporting the shows, to all of the acts that have come to play, and to The Westgarth Social Club's Mr Callaghan for doing so much to help make these shows happen!
