How do you say Gala?

gey-luh ~ gal-uh ~ gah-luh
No matter how you pronounce it, it means fun!
noun: a festive occasion; celebration; special event; especially an annual party held for the benefit of Valley Catholic School.

From the student ambassadors that will greet you at the door, to the sparkling wine and conversation at the silent auction, to the lively banter between the guests, emcee and auctioneer during the live auction, the Gala is a fun event undertaken each year for the benefit of all students, faculty and staff at Valley Catholic School. No matter how you say it, the bottom line is that the Gala is fun, so join us and be a part of our annual celebration!
  • Volunteer- help plan now or work the event February 23rd
  • Donate - an item from your family or from your workplace
  • Attend - tickets are now on sale

Give a Gift Card

As in the past, we will offer the opportunity for Gala guests to make a 'lucky draw' to win a gift card or certificate with a value of up to $100. We are looking for donations of dining, entertainment, retail and service gift cards. Can you help? If so, please leave your gift cards in the school office of your choice where you will also find donation forms. Please fill one out and keep a copy for yourself. If you prefer, you can also complete the donation form online.

Adventure Awaits!

High School Trips - For the Gala, each high school class sponsors a trip package to be sold at the live auction. As in the last several years, we are asking each family to make a donation of $25 per student. Some are able to donate more, some less. The key is participation at a level that is appropriate for your family.

At VCHS, each class will receive 'Spirit Points' for any and all donations received by Thursday, January 31 at 4:00 p.m. The class with the highest rate of participation will receive a tasty treat. Can you say "Nothing Bundt Cake?" More information will be given to students at their class meetings in January, but let's get started now! Donations can be made now by using this link.

Last year, your donations allowed us to procure trips to San Diego, Monterey, Walla Walla and Whistler, BC. All were offered with great success in the live auction at the Gala.

Middle School's 'Oregon Adventures' - Middle school families sponsor unique, soft adventure experiences right here in the great northwest. Many families made a contribution at registration. If you are a middle school family, but were not able to make a donation at registration, please consider doing so today by using this link.

Last year, the adventurous winning bidders enjoyed a Dine Around Portland package, a stay at the Tree House Resort and Joseph, OR in the Wallowas.

Reserved for You!

Did you know if you make a monetary or item donation with a value of $100 or more, your family name will be entered into a drawing for a reserved parking space! Imagine, a space with your name on it, available to you from March 1 until June 30, 2019. No more driving around in circles on a busy day at VCS. One of last year's lucky winners said, "I sure am going to miss just pulling into my reserved parking spot. How can I get that again?" Make a donation today at valleycatholic.org/gala

*Limit five (5) entries per family. Contest ends February 1, 2019. Two lucky winners will be chosen.
