What does this mean? For Athens Land Trust, it means that we are more than a land trust: we are one of the few organizations in the country that protects land not only for environmental benefits, but also for community uses like affordable housing, food security, and economic development. 

We protect the land by working together. And you play an important role in our success. Thanks to you, in our 25-year history:

We've made homeownership a reality for 49 low-income families in Athens.

We've conserved over 17,000 acres of farmland, forests, wetlands, and more across 36 counties in Georgia.
 
We've enhanced economic opportunities for over 100 low-income small business owners through the West Broad Farmers Market. 

We've provided over 200 underserved youth with paid employment, job readiness skills, and leadership development through the Young Urban Farmers, Young Urban Builders, and Young Conservation Stewards programs.
