Alliance to End Hunger Applauds Passage of Farm Bill Friendly to Needs of Hungry People at Home and Abroad

The Alliance to End Hunger applauded the passage of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, commonly known as the Farm Bill.  The Farm Bill authorizes programs essential for the work of the anti-hunger community, notably the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly Food Stamps). [READ MORE]

One of the sessions as part of the Borlaug Dialogues for the 2018 World Food Prize was organised by FAO and the Alliance to End Hunger on the topic of Conflict, Climate and Hunger. The session was prompted by the rise reported by FAO in the number of undernourished people (“hungry”) we have witnessed in the past few years. In 2017 it returned to what it was 7-8 years ago. AmeriCorps VISTA

The Alliance to End Hunger is seeking full-time AmeriCorps VISTAs to support the work of building the public will to end hunger. The Alliance does this by supporting the Hunger Free Communities (HFC) Network. The HFC Network is the signature U.S. program of the Alliance to End Hunger. Made up of community-based anti-hunger coalitions, referred to as “Hunger Free Communities,” the network is comprised of 75 groups around the country. SDG2 Advocacy Hub

The SDG2 Advocacy Hub is looking for a Manager of Policy and Advocacy to join the Hub’s secretariat. In this role, the Manager of Policy and Advocacy will focus and analyse policy opportunities and translate this into clear messages to use across the Hub’s Network to coordinate action on SDG2 priorities.
