CHRISTMAS EVE AT FIRST PRES
5pm Family Service  •   8pm Lessons & Carols

Welcome!
 <<First Name>>

This Sunday is the last Sunday in Advent and we Draw Near to One Another. Polls have shown that the number of people who identify as Christian but do not attend any church is growing. Surveys have also been done showing a correlation between those who identify as Christians and don't attend church and a higher level of judgment and prejudice.
Let's face it, it can be easier to distance ourselves. It can feel safer in a world where there are many good reasons to protect ourselves. Just look what happened to Jesus!
Yet God still calls us to draw near one another because it is in learning how to offer and receive Grace from one another that we begin to experience Jesus Christ incarnate.

If you cannot join us in person, we will be attempting to stream, now in High Definition, internet streaming

Peace, Rev. Matt Gough

Our Draw Near Theme from A Sanctified Art LLC included patterns for our Sanctuary Banners. See the video that shows how Jill Gardiner created these cut paper wonders and see a time lapse video of her work. The banners will move closer together each week until they join on Christmas Eve.  You can see more on our Advent section of our Website.
