'Tis the season where we hear a lot about elves, and toys, and gifts, and trees, and the nativity, and carols, and the pleasant sound of a cheery "Merry Christmas" everywhere we go.
Or, as the Christmas Ogres say it, "Merry CHRIST-mas," while giving you a baleful glare should you choose to say anything else.
Because nothing spreads joy and Christian love like using a beloved holiday as a battering ram…

There are so many things in this world that can divide us, and frequently do. The reality is, this holiday has been a holiday for long before the birth of Christ, and yet the only ones I ever see on a vendetta to make sure others are "saying it right" are legalistic Christians.
Not only is that not what the spirit of the holiday season is for, it's not what Christ, whose very being personified love, would want us to do.
So this holiday season, I want to say with all my heart that I love you, I'm grateful for you, and I wish you a time filled with peace, joy, love, and gratitude. May you connect with someone in a meaningful way this season. May your heart be full.
Thank you for being part of my life. I wish you the happiest of holidays, no matter what it is that this season means to you.
