1/24 Cybernaut x SVC Private Pitch - Session 3: Information Technology

The Cybernaut x SVC Private Pitch Series - Session 03 will be held on Jan 24, 2019 and is now open to applications from startups in Information Technology!

Jointly hosted by HYSTA SVC Inc. and Zhejiang Cybernaut Investment Management Co., this cross-border event will connect Silicon Valley startup companies with investment institutions in Hangzhou through a series of remote road show sessions. All Silicon Valley entrepreneurs will present in a private pitch held at HYSTA SVC (Santa Clara, CA), joined by experienced Silicon Valley investors and industry experts. Meanwhile, each presentation will be transmitted simultaneously to 20+ decision makers from investment institutions and listed companies in Hangzhou via an online video conferencing system. Investors from both Silicon Valley and Hangzhou will interact with presenting entrepreneurs, asking questions and sharing professional feedback.

The events will be mainly held in MANDARIN. For founders who speak English, it is preferred if a mandarin-speaking team member can be present to interpret the presentations. We will help facilitate simultaneous interpretation if necessary, but in the case of a large pool of applicants, mandarin-speaking presenters will have higher priority to ensure event quality.

Eligibility:

1 or more founding member(s) with Ph.D. or above degree from universities outside of China;
Innovative project with potential of industrialization/productization;
Founding Stage: pre-A or Series A;
Successful financing experience preferred;

In 2017 alone, Zhejiang Cybernaut directly invested in about 20 overseas high-tech startups with a total investment of nearly $8 million USD, driving other investment of over $120 million US dollars.

Upon application, startups may qualify for a free office space of up to 16,000 square feet in multiple locations inside and outside of China, an R&D subsidy of up to ￥15 million RMB, a three-year interest-free loan of up to ￥15 million RMB, in-depth support in market entry and expansion and strong integration of domestic and international industrial resources, including exclusive counseling for business development, financial law, human resources management and capital operation etc. Well-rounded logistic, educational and medical resources will also be provided to entrepreneurs and family members as part of the service package to facilitate work as well as life in Hangzhou.
