Eurodesk best wishes

2018 has been an exciting year for Eurodesk…

Our Time to Move Campaign set new records, with over 1000 events in 25 countries. We had the pleasure of welcoming Ukraine to the Eurodesk family as our 35th member country. A new Competence Framework of Eurodesk Mobility Advisors has been adopted, giving more visibility and recognition to the amazing work done by our 1000 multipliers active at grassroots level all over Europe. Our Social Media Guidebook was released and shared broadly, while our new Euroclasses on Euro-Participation is ready to be used in the run to the European elections. The number of visitors of our new eurodesk.eu website has doubled, our social media strategy is paying off and, well, we just kind of kept ourselves busy :)

With a new Executive Committee (and slogan in #WomenPower) and Secretariat fully dedicated to making European opportunities available to all young people, we’re confident of growing even stronger in 2019!

But now it’s finally time to rest. Happy holidays, and here’s to 2019!

Extended deadline for the Eurodesk Survey

Following record-breaking feedback over the past few weeks, the Eurodesk survey for young people is extended until January 9th 2019. With the aim of creating a better understanding of how young people learn about mobility opportunities, the survey is evaluating how young people perceive the information landscape today and whether they believe information about opportunities abroad is accessible to them. Young people and young adults between 15 and 35 years old, with and without mobility experience, from Erasmus+ programme countries, Western Balkan and Eastern Partnership Countries, Russian Federation and/or Switzerland are invited to take the survey, which so far has produced some very interesting responses. By contributing, all participants have the chance to win great prizes. To date, the survey has received 2,698 responses, with the largest number coming from Italy (579).

The survey is available in 22 languages and will be open until January 9th 2019.

Get involved and participate here.

Launch of the EUROGRADUATE Survey

The European Commission has launched the EUROGRADUATE pilot survey to see how graduates are doing after graduation and how they feel when they look back on their studies. The survey aims to lay foundations for European-wide comparable data on graduates, their transitions to the labour market, their mobility across Europe and their role in society overall.

European Parliament Flash Eurobarometer

The first results of a new European Parliament Flash Eurobarometer Focusing on the future European Elections 2019 reveals that 68% of European citizens believe their country’s EU membership to be a good thing. The first results of the telephone survey, conducted with 26,071 respondents in the EU-27, show a continuous increase in support for the European Union. Novi Sad European Youth Capital 2019

Serbia’s second largest city, in the heart of the Vojvodina region, is the European Youth Capital for 2019. The European Youth Capital (EYC) title is awarded to a different European city each year by the European Youth Forum. The candidacy of the City of Novi Sad for the European Youth Capital was a sort of invitation to young people to become actively involved in their own development and building their own independence, thus the motto of the candidacy was “Opening doors.”
