Earlier today our director Adam Friedman and Pratt Institute's new president Frances Bronet talked with Brian Lehrer about how Pratt Center is leveraging the innovation and expertise of Pratt Institute to help communities tackle complex issues like housing affordability and climate resiliency.

Among the examples discussed was a new Basement Conversion pilot program in East New York, which is being driven by our partner Cypress Hills LDC (CHLDC). The Coalition for Community Advancement advocated for the pilot during the 2016 rezoning negotiations, and has been working with the City Council, multiple city agencies and partner organizations to make the pilot a reality. Now as implementation nears, CHLDC is expanding its dynamic team.
