PITTSBURGH, PA – The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office announces the apprehension of Breanne Jefferson, 28 years of age from the City of McKeesport.  Jefferson had been wanted since August 17^th, when two bench warrants were issued for her arrest due to a violation of probation/parole.

The first warrant stems from a few incidents occurring in December 2013, where Jefferson ransacked homes in McKeesport. Jefferson stole numerous electronics and jewelry from the houses.  Authorities eventually located one of the items at a pawnshop and were able to identify Jefferson as the person who sold it to the store.  She plead guilty to receiving stolen property.  In turn, part of Jefferson’s sentencing included probation.

In October 2015, McKeesport Police charged Jefferson with aggravated assault – victim less than 6 and defendant 18 or older, simple assault – grading, victim under 12 defendant 18 or older, endangering welfare of children – parent/guardian/other commits offense and recklessly endangering the welfare of children.  The complaint stated that Jefferson punched and stomped her child, after he would not stop crying.  She claimed that she “blacked out” during the assault.  Jefferson plead guilty to these charges; part of her sentencing included four years probation.

Over the last week, sheriff’s deputies developed information that Jefferson was staying in an apartment in McKeesport, specifically the Crawford Village housing plan.  Deputies approached the address and were met by an occupant of the home.  While conversing with the occupant, deputies viewed Jefferson at the top of the steps and demanded her to come to the first floor, which she complied and was taken into custody without incident.

Additionally, sheriff’s deputies apprehended the tenant of the address, Gina Wright, 35 years of age.  Wright was wanted out of Mahoning County, Ohio for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia since December 13, 2018.  Both Jefferson and Wright were transported and lodged at the Allegheny County Jail.  Jefferson was lodged on her criminal bench warrants, whereas Wright will await extradition to Ohio.
