2018 in Review
We've had a wonderful fall and start to winter at the Hub Farm. Although the weather set us back in our infrastructure projects, our programming has continued to expand, our CSA and Farmstand were successful, and we have a busy year ahead of us. We released our Annual Report for the 2017-2018 year, which you can read by clicking here

Programming Highlights

This Fall, we continued programming with our three neighboring schools. We visited Carrington to teach their 6th grade science classes about North Carolina's ecosystems and help establish a run and coop area for their new chickens. At the farm, we continued to work with scholars from Eno Valley to do biweekly standard aligned lessons. Also at Eno Valley, we began our Building Outdoor Learning in Durham (BOLD) project with the Exceptional Children to build an outdoor learning space in their courtyard. We had our first lesson this December and will continue that project through the Spring.

Our six high school interns from Northern High School completed their 10 weeks with us. They helped us with landscaping, animal care, and our CSA/Farm Stand. And of course, we are planning for a very busy spring season!

Infrastructure Update and Events

Due to a very wet fall, our infrastructure developments have slowed. We are close to finishing the concrete pad for our greenhouse and building for our new pavilion should begin in January. We are excited to share our new spaces this Spring.

Workdays will be announced in January!
Thank You and Happy Holidays!
We are constantly in awe of the support we are given by our community. Thanks to those that have donated their time, money, and energy to making the Hub Farm great. We are so excited to continue on this journey, and we wish you all peace and light in the New Year.
