At the 24th Conference of the Parties (COP24) of the UNFCCC, CCS and its China partners the Global Environmental Institute (GEI) and the Guangzhou Institute for Energy Conversion (GIEC), shared results from pilot application of new tools for renewable energy implementation in South China and Southeast Asia. Representatives of the Shanxi Province (PRC) Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences and Myanmar joined partners to feature new analysis, tools, and cooperation strategies, including public private business models for market scale implementation of low carbon technology applications. In China, CCS and its partners are piloting a program in the Huangpu Special Economic Zone of Guangzhou covering implementation of solar PV systems on industrial rooftops and developing an assessment of biomass energy potential in Guangdong Province. In Myanmar, planning and analysis of pilot programs for renewable energy implementation are under exploration to expand multi-national cooperation.
