                              THE NATIONAL 2019!
We are super excited to announce that our Artist’s, Selma Nunay Coulthard, Noreen Hudson, Clara Inkamala, Reinhold Inkamala, Vanessa Inkamala & Gloria Pannka are involved in a group project with the Art gallery of NSW as part of The National 2019.

The National 2019: New Australian Art presents the latest ideas and forms in contemporary Australian art, curated across three of Sydney's premier cultural institutions: the Art Gallery of NSW, Carriageworks and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. A six-year initiative over three editions in 2017, 2019 and 2021, the curatorial vision for the exhibition represents a mix of emerging, mid-career and established artists drawn from around the country and Australian artists practicing overseas. The National 2019: New Australian Art is the only large-scale recurring exhibition in the city focused solely on contemporary Australian art.
   MGA2019 WATERCOLOUR MASTERCLASS!

Watercolour Landscape Masterclass at Iltja Ntjarra Art Centre

Come and paint alongside painters and descendants of iconic artist Albert Namatjira and experience, absorb and practice their approach.

As part of the MGA2019 (Museum Galleries Australia) National Conference program, Iltja Ntjara Art Centre in Alice Springs will be offering a rare and coveted opportunity for members of the public to paint alongside our artists, learning, absorbing and practicing their approach. During the masterclass, our artists will sit among delegates and paint with them, talking and offering advice in a quiet, informal setting. This is an immersive workshop process, directive is often gentle, with the artists leading the class by observation. Participants will be provided with all tools to create their own watercolour landscape to take home.

Date: Friday 17 May 2019
Time: 12:00 – 2:00pm
Venue: Central Craft, Araluen Precinct
Cost per delegate: $75

                     DOING IT RIGHT PROJECT!
Painting by: Vanessa Inkamala
Our Mob have been working with Congress and the Lowitja Institute as part of their 'Doing it right, Research Services, Public Health Division'.

The project is aimed at improving community understanding of research through knowledge translation and researcher's understanding of community can lead to more meaningful engagement in research.

It's a big project and Congress will be working with a number of communities, but hopefully when it's finished we'll be seeing some of our artists paintings come alive through animation.
                   KERINGKE ARTS WORKSHOPS!
The mob form Keringke Arts Centre have been coming in from Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa) for the last month to do watercolour workshops facilitated by our very own Kathy Inkamala and Gloria Pannka.
It's been so much fun having artists from another community working with us and sharing knowledge.
We hope to do more of this fun stuff in the future.
NEW WORKS ON OUR WEBSITE NOW!
