December 22nd
Hello from all of us here at the Irish Family History Centre and welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter!
We hope you're all having a wonderfully festive time this weekend and we've got lots to keep you entertained!
Read on to learn our Research Tip of the week from Expert Genealogist, Carmel Gilbride, who reminds us of the importance of headstones. Also, our Spotlight on Publications this week looks at the stunningly illustrated Atlas and Cyclopedia of Ireland.
We have absolute beginners digging for Ancestral Gold behind the scenes at the IFHC and Fiona's students are doing some fantastic things with their research - read a blog from one in our Student Showcase. We also want to give the kids at the Central Remedial Clinic a huge round of applause on their Gaisce Awards.
Finally, we've got the latest version of our digital magazine, Irish Lives Remembered for you! Our Autumn/Winter 2018 issue is a special edition with double the amount of content to enjoy, and some fantastic articles about World War I, to mark the Centenary of the Armistice last month. It's a really great read, with brilliant pieces from some of the biggest names in Irish Genealogy.
Enjoy!
