2CV Racing Newsletter December 2018

The big news this month is that 2CV racing is highlighted in a very extensive feature on low-cost motor racing in the December edition of MotorSport magazine.

December  MotorSport magazine - 2CV Track Test

2CV’s are one of three classes featured in a track test at Brands. Club member Simon Turner kindly loaned his newly prepared club-class racer.
The magazine’s test driver for the day was journo Robert Ladbrook. MotorSport magazine have very generously allowed us to circulate the feature to members and friends of the Club.
Read the article here and you’ll see that Robert found that Simon’s 2CV racer compared extremely favourably with the KA and C1 cars he tested on the same day.

Special deals on MotorSport subscriptions are available here. A great Xmas gift for anyone you know who loves motor racing.

November 24  Last Races at Rockingham Speedway
Several Club members took their cars to the last ever race meeting at Rockingham. They ran in an open race so had a lot of fun with the wide variety of race cars around them. Nick Roads was the highest placed, with 12th. The venue is destined to become a road car preparation and distribution centre.

2019 2CV Racing – need a seat or a car, or a driver?
Alec Graham is the one to talk to if you are looking for a race drive or a car or are looking for drivers for a race car you have for any of the races in 2019. He’s got all the contacts. He can also help if you have a race car to sell.

2019 2CV Technical and sporting rules update
At the Club AGM last month, the members agreed a number of proposed to the technical and sporting rules. A modest increase in the car+driver weight was one of the changes. Visit the club website and find the AGM minutes on the Forum for more info.
