The church office will be closed Monday, December 24 through Tuesday, January 1.
When the office reopens on Wednesday, January 2, office hours will change to:
Monday-Thursday, 9:00a - 1:00p, 2:00p - 5:00p

Reminder: Contributions for December
A contributions for the 2018 financial year must be POSTMARKED in December or in the office before the 31st. A check left at the office after the 31st but dated December will not be counted toward 2018.

Dedication of Welcome Table & Matching Art – 12/23
Please gather in the parlor after worship on Sunday, December 23 for both our regular fellowship time, but also for the dedication of a new welcome table and matching piece of art commissioned just for our church by the Allen Trenkle family in honor of the late Donna Trenkle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Become a Matthew 25:36 Visitation Minister – 1/6
I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Age, illness, or both need not end of our church life. In fact, Jesus says they should not. Be part of a team that offers the peace of Christ to those who are not able to be physically present in worship. Join current and incoming Matthew 25 Ministers Sandy Ballard, Laura Beason, Paul Clark, Barbara Hauerrberg, Debi Ford Smith, Steve Rogers-Smith, Kim Spangler, Pat Spangler, Donna Starck, Barbara Yungclas, Bill Yungclas, Amy Erica Smith, as well as Pr. Hannah and me for a brown bag conversation on Sunday, January 6, 2019 after worship in the Fellowship Hall. We will be done by 1:30 p.m.

Ames UCC Orientation Luncheon & Tour – 1/13
New or new-ish to Ames UCC? Join Prs. Hannah and Eileen and members of our Building Relationships team for an orientation to the church including a tour of the facilities (creepy basement!) and a free lunch. We will begin after worship on Sunday, 1/13 and be done in less than two hours. We will include information on becoming a member during worship on Sunday, 1/27, if you are interested. Our traditional service of scripture, song, Holy Communion, and sharing God’s light at 7 p.m.
Christmas Day
Tuesday, December 25
Toll the bell and celebrate the dawning of Jesus’ story at this simple service at 9:30 a.m. If you are anxious about getting kids dressed, or even yourself, don’t be. Come as you are.
