Hello <<First Name>>,

Wowee, what a day!

While I realize that not everyone was able to, it was great to meet those of you who were able to come to Handmade Arcade. At times, my booth resembled a crazed place: it was so busy with folks trying on hats. Even nicer, many hats are now in their forever homes. Brilliant.

Consequently, I'm feeling especially blessed by this unexpected success. It's a good way to feel when approaching the New Year because it allows one (me) to approach planning with more of a can-do, growth mindset.

After unpacking my booth-filled car and cleaning up my workspace where-the-floor-had-disappeared, I counted all of the new hats. There are 23 of them! So, I am trying to get them online. Instead of doing my usual Big Shop Update, I'm editing photos and writing up one or two listings daily. It's better for my back and sanity this way. Plus, there is more reason to visit the Shop often!

Here are four that I have just listed. Mostly practical and one fantastical.

Last week I shared an in-process photo of the Unicorn Gnome Hat. I was unsure whether I would finish it in time for Handmade Arcade.

But, I did!

After setting up for Handmade Arcade, it was lovely to sew on the inside grosgrain ribbon and bead the outside while looking out at a cool view of Northside and the Allegheny River.

Tomorrow, I will try and put it online. It would be a fun hat to ring in the New Year!

Until next time, felt-fully yours,

Signature of me, Juliane

P.S.: Have you ever wondered how a sewing machine works? This short animation from PBSKids' Design Squad demonstrates.
