Congratulations Dr. Jo-ann Archibald Q’um Q’um Xiiem on Being Appointed to the Order of Canada


Please join the Faculty of Education in congratulating Dr. Jo-ann Archibald Q’um Q’um Xiiem on being appointed to the Order of Canada.

The Order of Canada is one of our country’s highest honours and is given to people whose service shapes our society; whose innovations ignite our imaginations; and whose compassion unites our communities.

Congratulations Dr. Hindmarch on Being Appointed to the Order of Canada

Please join the Faculty of Education in congratulating Dr. Robert Hindmarch on being appointed to the Order of Canada.  

Dr. Hindmarch has made a profound difference to thousands of people around the world in his 60-year career as an athlete, hockey coach, educator, Olympic medalist and Director of UBC’s athletic programs.

Welcome Dr. Surita Jhangiani

We are pleased and excited to welcome Dr. Surita Jhangiani!

Dr. Jhangiani joined us as a tenure-track Instructor in Human Development, Learning and Culture. Dr. Jhangiani is already a valued member at ECPS where she has served as a 12-month Lecturer since 2017 .

Welcome Dr. Cynthia Glidden-Tracey

We are pleased and excited to welcome Dr. Cynthia Glidden-Tracey!

Dr. Cynthia Glidden-Tracey joined us as a tenure-track Instructor in Counselling Psychology. Dr. Glidden-Tracey previously held an appointment as a clinical faculty in the Counseling and Counseling Psychology programs, at the Arizona State University in the USA.

Challenging Divides & Surfacing Connections: Research, Policy, and Practice in Early Childhood Education

SPARK 2019 is a two-day graduate student-run conference that brings together individuals interested in early childhood education (ECE) and care (birth to 8 years old) to contribute to a wider discussion around the challenges, understandings, experiences, and insights that characterize the field. The conference theme is “Challenging Divides & Surfacing Connections: Research, Policy, and Practice in Early Childhood Education”. 
Proposals must be submitted by Monday, January 14, 2019.

Dr. Frank attended the 30th Anniversary Celebration for the BCPVPA since sharing in the success of the association.

In January 1988, the BCPVPA became a professional association dedicated to helping principals and vice-principals provide “quality leadership in education.”
