DECEMBER 2018
Dear Friends,
How many blessings we experienced here at WOL Hungary by God’s grace!
In 2018 we had 1027 campers in our Winter and Summer camps. Only when we arrive in Heaven will we be able to see all that God has accomplished in them, but until then, here is a little encouragement:
Last week I received a phone call from a brother as he wanted to encourage me: "Gábor, I don’t know how much feedback you get but I would like to tell you that a young girl publicly shared her testimony in our church last Sunday. She told us that God touched her heart in the WOL camp in Tóalmás and she got saved there. She will get baptized in two weeks from now. God bless your ministry!"
During our different evangelistic events many heard the Good News. We have been to schools and churches, on streets and in squares. We sowed many seeds, as many people heard the message of salvation.
Our dear friend, with your prayers, financial support, volunteer service God is using you in the lives of these young people. We cannot wait for the moment when, together with you, we will be able to meet them in Heaven.
You may remember that because of a political decision we could not accept new missionaries to join our ministry. We are grateful to God that this problem has been solved. However, we still feel the effect of that regulation as we do not have enough staff members. We are thankful for those who join us for 1, 2 or 3 years, either as pensioners or as young adult volunteers. A portion of our Bible Institute staff is made up of volunteers like them.
We are thankful to Stan and DeRonda Haynes, who instead of the planned one year, stayed for 15 months total to serve with us.
It is God’s blessing that John and Elizabeth Deal accepted the role of leading the Bible Institute for 2 years.  They will stay in Hungary until June 2019.
We pray that God would lead the younger generation of staff members (Laiz, Daniel, Mary, Bethany) - who originally came for 1 or 2 years - to stay for a longer period of time.
We are thankful that Chris and Lili James are our official missionaries since November, and that Josh and Haleigh Bramer are planning to stay for long term. We rejoice together with Todd and Beth Meyerdirk as God is blessing them in their support raising. Their goal is to return fully funded in the Spring.

In addition to all of this, we have a huge need for staff in the Bible Institute. Please pray together with us that God would call people to the ministry for long term.
You can read more about our staff needs here.
Creating Room to Grow
When we bought our house we received good advice from many people. One piece of advice that we heard repeatedly was this: "There will always be something to fix or change." It is very much true, not only about our home, but about the properties of WOL Hungary as well.
Praise God, we have all the needed funds to renovate the oldest dorm. We thank God and we thank our supporters. You can read more about this project here.

Meanwhile, the roofing of the other dorms that we use right now needs to be replaced urgently. According to our plans, the current roofs would be replaced by new, high quality, durable metal ones. More info here.
