East Valley Churches of the Nazarene, together, for a Blue Christmas service
Another note from Pastor Matt:
I neglected to mention two more important bits of information in the last emails.
(1) Several of our sister Nazarene churches in the east valley are getting together to worship together in a service known as a 'Blue Christmas' service.
It will take place at Chandler First Church of the Nazarene on December 20, a Thursday, at 6:30. They are in South Chandler, just a bit north of Chandler Blvd. and a bit west of Arizona Ave. 301 N Hartford St, Chandler, AZ 85225.
Here is how some have described a Blue Christmas service: This is an Advent service for people who are struggling or grieving; a service to honor the reality that the holidays are not all joy and light for everyone. If you grieve, if you struggle, come and be encouraged in the presence of others who love you.
(2) Also, Kiersten gets back in town this weekend! If you'd like to see her, be sure to be at worship this weekend. She will be a part of Shar's holiday decor party, too.
So: THIS SUNDAY, December 16, Kiersten will be at church in the morning AND Shar is hosting a holiday decor party at our home on Sunday evening at 5:30.
And December 20 we will gather with other east valley nazarenes at Chandler First Church for a Blue Christmas worship service.
