We have been offered another 10-year contract in the National Park and look forward to offering views like this to you and your lucky friends for another decade. Our holiday repertoire of lasagna and wassail was stretched this year. Blain learned a new dish called Zarzuela de Mariscos (Portuguese seafood stew ) and it's delicious. We are sure a version will appear on trips this summer. But here's the recipe just in case you can't sail with us this year.

Rick, Jen, and Feral Kitty (founders of Sound Sailing) are busy caretaking the lodge over at Baranof Warm Springs this winter. We had a perfect stretch of weather over Thanksgiving, and boy are we glad we took the boat over. An opportunity to see Feral (or Jen) dressed up as a turkey is worth every gallon of diesel.
