The Candle of Love
Week Four - Day Twenty-Three
Merry Christmas Eve, <<First Name>> and Happy Monday. There is no assignment today formally, but I do want you to continue with that list of fabulous things you've accomplished.
Sometimes, we just need to remind ourselves how amazing - and accomplished - we truly are.
I know that Christmas can feel like a slippery slope for many - the forced merriment or being with family who gets under our skin.... maybe too much alone time, missing loved ones that have passed or are too far away for a visit.
I also wanted you to know that I'm sending you so much love and prayers and sheer gratitude for your presence - no matter what this day brings you.
Here are a few quotes that remind me that love is always within reach.
“Feeling good about ourselves is essential in our being able to love others.”
--Fred Rogers
"Wouldn't it be powerful if you fell in love with yourself so deeply that you would do just about anything if you knew it would make you happy? This is precisely how much life loves you and wants you to nurture yourself. The deeper you love yourself, the more the universe will affirm your worth. Then you can enjoy a lifelong love affair that brings you the richest fulfillment from inside out."
--Alan Cohen
"Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we have learned here. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and the acceptance of love back into our hearts."
--Marianne Williamson
Tomorrow we'll return with an essay from Melissa A. Bartell about finding LOVE for the season.
Here's to love and unlearning fear!
