FOUNDATION NEWS

DID YOU KNOW YOU COULD CONTRIBUTE TO THE FOUNDATION JUST BY SHOPPING?
Visit smile.amazon.com and select the Inman Middle School Foundation as your charitable organization.  Every time you need to place an order, go to smile.amazon.com and Amazon donates a percentage of your purchase to the Foundation! It’s that easy.

MAKE YOUR TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION BY DECEMBER 31!
All donations to the Inman Middle School Foundation are tax deductible so don’t miss out for the 2018 tax year.  Not sure why you should support the Foundation?  Here are a few reasons:

  • To date, the Foundation has been the sole source of funding to execute the 1:1 Initiative and will continue to meet the ongoing needs of this program.
  • The Foundation also entirely funds Inman’s highly successful tutoring partnership with the Educational Advisory Foundation, which brings experienced and highly trained outside educators to work one-on-one or in small groups during school hours providing intensive instruction in reading and math for students who require extra attention.
  • Several years ago, Inman lost its designation as a Title I school and therefore no longer receives Federal funding designated for at-risk students; thus funding formerly exceeded $250,000 annually.  The Foundation fills the gap between the budget we are allocated by APS and the resources we need to give EVERY student an exceptional educational experienceFilling this gap allows Dr. Maxwell to best utilize Inman’s budget toward staffing.
  • The Foundation funds professional learning to include gifted certification, Google certification, and more. (See next article!)
  • Oh, and did we mention that your donation is tax deductible?
Whether your child is in 6th, 7th or 8th grade, every donation makes a real and lasting difference in virtually every Inman student’s educational experience.  Please visit www.inmanfoundation.org to contribute. Keep in mind we offer a recurring payment option as well.  Thank you for investing in the future of our Eagles!

FOUNDATION SENDS 12 INMAN TEACHERS TO GEORGIA EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE
The Foundation recently continued its longstanding support of professional learning by sending 12 of our Inman teachers to the Georgia Educational Technology Conference in November, where Ms. Powe, Inman’s Instructional Technology Specialist, and Mr. Larson presented.  This conference provides educators the opportunity to learn about the latest in educational technology and offers a forum for discussion among professionals focused on harnessing technology to enrich the educational experience.
