The season of Advent is upon us and Christmas is drawing EVER closer! The Year of Youth has finished but here in the Youth Office, it’s not time to stop! In this edition we would like to point out a few events kicking off in 2019 and invite you to stay in touch with the office. The AOY would like to wish everyone a happy and holy Christmas. We will be taking a short break in the office from Friday 21 December until Thursday 3 January 2019.

New youth minister camp

Join us as we hold our annual camp to build foundations in leadership, ministry and the life of Christ for NEW youth ministers (1-3 years’ experience). This camp will allow you to learn practical skills in planning and running all difference aspects of youth ministry as well as an opportunity to meet others in the same role as you! Rise Festival!

The 2019 Rise Festival will be held on 23 March at Penola Catholic College in Broadmeadows and we have a huge line up beginning to be released! Join us to hear Archbishop Peter A Comensoli, Justine Cumbo, Josh Angrisano, Bishop Mark Edwards OMI, Genevieve Bryant and a host of other guests being announced. Follow World Youth Day

You might not be able to make it to Panama for World Youth Day but you may have friends or family attending (or just love it!). We invite you to follow the Melbourne Pilgrimage as we head first to Mexico, visiting sites for Our Lady of Guadalupe as well as our journey to Panama to celebrate the universal Church with Pope Francis and hundreds of thousands of other young people. We will be posting regularly to our Facebook and Instagram social as well as via our blog found HERE

Summer Series: Life and Love

We are back on the ACU) Rooftop for an all new Summer Series! Join us as we team up with the Life, Marriage and Family Office to discuss life, love and Theology of the Body for young adults.
